  • Create Change Counseling provides individual therapy for children, teens, and adults.

Sessions integrate evidence-based approaches based on each client’s specific needs including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialetical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), executive functioning strategies, and Art therapy interventions.

  • Art therapy is a form of psychotherapy that utilizes art-making and the creative process to explore and address emotional, psychological, and social challenges. Through engaging in art-making, clients are given a non-verbal method to communicate and make sense of their world. It can be an external outlet for internal stressors or a way to create a symbolic reminder of something addressed in session.

  • Clients are never forced to do anything they don’t want to do. Some clients prefer more talk therapy and that is completely okay. During your intake, we would discuss your goals and needs for therapy and whether or not art therapy would be a part of it.

  • No, I am considered out-of-network for all insurance panels. However, I can provide you with a document called a superbill which you are able to submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. In addition, I have a few sliding scale spots open.

  • My rate is:

$160 for 50 minute, individual sessions

$180 for 50 minute, initial intake sessions

  • The first session is focused on understanding your goals, history, and current challenges. We’ll create a clear, collaborative path for moving forward. It is a time for us both to ask questions and get to know each other. For children, the initial session is typically just for parents or, I may split the time between meeting with parents first and then your child.
